Rachel Anne Grey Summers-Pryde and Katherine “Kitty” Anne Pryde-Summers were recently united in matrimony. They were wed by their old friend and teammate Kurt Wagner. Wagner was once an ordained priest, but is no longer one since he discovered his ordination was part of a plot by his demon father to make Kurt the Pope. Rachel and Kitty, however, figured Kurt’s retracted ordination wouldn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

Rachel is the daughter of Scott Summers and Jean Grey-Summers from an alternate timeline where killer robots attempt to wipe out life on Earth. Kitty is the daughter of Carmen and Theresa Pryde, but since she has lived with the X-Men since she was 13 1/2, she is the adopted daughter of Ororo Munroe and Logan. 

Rachel wore a gown reminiscent of her Excalibur uniform - complete with spikes and flaming wedding train - that says, “This is my special day, but I can also kick your ass.”

Kitty wore a blue tuxedo reminiscent of her Excalibur costume complete with mask and bowtie.

Both brides carried bouquets of primroses.

The ceremony was held at Xavier’s Mansion in Westchester and at the Excalibur headquarters Braddock Lighthouse in Cornwall. Considering how many teleporters attended the wedding, this wasn’t too hard to pull off in one day.

Rachel was given away in marriage by her not-Dad Scott Summers from the 616. Kitty was given away by her adopted clawhand dad Logan. Meggan Puceanu and Brian Braddock stood up with the brides as their maid of honor and best man respectively. The Braddocks’ daughter Maggie was the flower girl and Kitty’s space dragon Lockheed was the ringbearer.

The wedding went off without a hitch until it was crashed by Kitty’s 15 girlfriends who objected to the union.

Rachel and Kitty spent their honeymoon as an intangible firebird gliding throughout the galaxies.

@xmenfemslashweek I had a blast last week. This is my belated submission - a Summer(s) Pryde wedding.

(PS I’m not very good at drawing people doing the kissing.)

Jean/Ororo is my favorite pairing in X-Men. Logan can go away :D (jk haha)

Their assorted kidlets: Rachel, of course. Kendall from Earth 9811. Baby Cable and Kendall’s baby brother. He is never named that I know of, but I like to call him Blizzard :)
