Whatâs going on there? âOh, hell no.
He was only gone a couple minutes, but in that time someone else has gotten all up in Declanâs personal space, flashing wide smiles and frequently sharing little touches to the writerâs arm.
Adam doesnât blame the stranger, because Declan is fine as hell, but Declan is also very much Adamâs man.
So, once the professorâs back beside the other, he slides a hand around Declanâs back and dips his fingers into his back pocket.
âHey, baby.â He greets with a crooked smile, leaning across Declanâs side to kiss his jaw. At the same time, his hand totally slips into the writerâs pocket, taking a hearty squeeze of his ass.
âSorry I took so long.â Looking over to the stranger, Adam is at least polite enough to give a sincere smile. Heâs possessive, but not a douche. âWhoâs this?â
Another day, another event. But this one didn't just revolve around Declan. It was a publisher's benefit, showcasing and celebrating all the newly published talent for the last year. They rented out convention space, got the whole thing catered, and were hosting a number of panels and readings for the various authors they were celebrating - including one Declan Tierney. For him, he'd attended year after year since becoming a senior editor. It was different being on the other side of things though.
At the moment, he was being chatted up by some young aspiring students with internships who had obtained passes to access the event. Smiling and laughing and clearly being flirted with by one of the grad students, Declan kept throwing glances over his shoulder trying to locate the professor he'd arrived with. While most of the students dispersed to further mingle, the grad student remained.
Shortly thereafter, he feels an arm snake around his lower back and fingers playing with the pocket at his rear. A smile spreads across his face as Adam greets him, making an overly possessive display of the Irishman being his, and Declan was just fine with that. " 'Lo, love."
He flashes Adam a look as the other gropes his cheek through his jeans and leans over to give him a kiss on the side of his jaw in return, whispering, "Jus' ye wait 'til I get ya alone," as he does so.
"This heyar is one of the grad students currently workinâ on the second draft of his manuscript witâ us. I 'ave yet to read it over but I told him I'd take a look an' give âim some notes."
