"A mission?" Sera smiled a bit, nodding to herself. Â She was going on her first mission for The Brotherhood. Â She was still just a trainee, but she couldn't help but feel a bit of pride that she was going to be allowed to go on such a mission. Â If she were to be honest with herself, she needed this. Â She needed to get out of the base, after everything that had just happened with that alternate world they had all been trapped in, Sera needed something to take her mind off of things. Â
In that alternate reality, she had fed someone to a mnster. Â All in an act of self-preservation. Â That was a side of herself that Sera didn't know existed. Â A side that put herslf first. Â And for Sera, the worst part about it was that she didn't seem to mind. Â That version of Sera was stronger, she did what she wanted. Â Took what she wanted.Â
Took what she wanted.
Did Sera want Hyemi like that? Â She had been in a very toxic sort of companionship with her best friend in that alternate reality, a reality in which she and Hyemi had done a lot more than shared a picnic lunch. Â She could still remember the feeling of Hyemi's touch, how it had sent her to a place that she hadn't thought possible. Â Especially with the girl she had left behind at the Institute. Â They were just friends, right? Â Then why did it almost feel like she had gotten a semblance of something she wanted? Â
