ooc;; Because I can't GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP.
"Where is she?" Rishid demanded. The woman before him wore a dark thick dress, her brilliant blue eyes staring coldly at him. On her bronzed skin...was blood. Dried blood. Rishid made a quick note of that. "Who...?" The woman spoke, her voice oddly cold. "My sister!" He demanded again. "But I am your sister, my dear Rishid..." The woman cooed. "You are not my sister." He replied calmly yet held the same cold she showed him.
"That hurts, brother..." She whispered, though her narrowed eyes showed none of the hurt she spoke of. "I simply ended her pain." She said. Rishid's eyes widened. No...no. "She wasn't---" The woman let out a high pitched laugh, one that made even Rishid cringe. "She was! You were too blind to see it!" She said, pointing at him, her eyes suddenly wide and livid.
"Who abandoned her...who looked at her with such disappointment? Who was it that spoke of how he no longer could see her in this radiant light? All because she wanted to protect her little brother...who was that?" She demanded. "YOU." She said loudly, her smile too wide to be considered sane. "You drove her poor heart so close to shattering...she tried everything to make her big brother see she wasn't a monster...she was someone worth being called sister...and she failed."
"You're lying. She will always be my sister!" She laughed again. "You don't get it! You don't---" She snickered. "The last straw...was when you couldn't even see her as a human being...then she realized she didn't want to be your sister anymore. She wanted to be your Ishizu." She spoke. "She loved you! And you tossed her aside! You shattered her heart!" She shouted.
"And I am such a big hearted woman..." She said. "Monster..." She chose to ignore that comment. "I saw her bitter tears...I couldn't let her suffer...it was quite easy. I held a gun and aimed it at the back of her neck, making sure it would connect with the spine and--" "Stop!" Rishid shouted, no longer able to hide his anger. "And I killed her." She said darkly.Β
"Would you...like to see?" She asked, pointing behind him. "Down the hall...into the basement. That is where you will find her." She said. Rishid clenched his fists before turning around without so much of a word and bolted. "Be thankful, Ishizu...may your heart not turn as black as mines. You can be saved. You can be loved." Isis murmured, watching Rishid retreat.
Rishid prayed that she was wrong. That Ishizu wasn't dead. That she hadn't thought those terrible thoughts. That she...did...she love him? He felt his own heart ache in pain at the thought. His footsteps slowed as he descended down the stairs leading to the basement. He took a deep breath before entering the basement. What he found there shocked him.
Ishizu...was alive! He could scarcely believe it. He ran to her and wrapped his arms around her...and realized something was wrong. The sound of sobbing and tears on his chest made him draw back slightly as Ishizu looked at him, obviously quite saddened. "Rishid...?" She spoke quietly. "Shh...I'm here." He said, continuing to hold her. Ishizu continued to cry into him.
"I'm sorry..." She murmured. "Why?" he asked. "I...disappointed you again." He frowned. Maybe Isis wasn't completely lying. "You didn't disappoint me." She only sobbed harder at that. "You're so nice...too nice to me. I could see it in your eyes." She murmured yet again. "Ishizu...you haven't disappointed me." He said. She shook her head, not believing him.
Did she truly think that she had lost her ability to impress him? She did not shed a single tear when he, apparently, convinced her that she was no longer worthy of being his sister...she gave no indication and only now finally she collapsed. If that wasn't strength, he didn't know what was. How could he convince her otherwise...? Wait...Isis also said--
"I love you." That...was unexpected. He watched her response. She appeared shocked and almost...hopeful? "You mean as..." She said and he could see the hope dimming in her ears. "A...sister...right..." It wasn't even a question. "No. As you...Ishizu." He said again as she looked up at him. She was debating. Was he telling her a lie or the truth? He needed to make it clear to her.
Make it without a doubt. So he leaned forward and captured her lips with his. He could feel Ishizu stiffen. 'Please accept it...' He thought. He didn't know when he felt this way. But in hearing Isis' words and seeing Ishizu in such distress...it was obvious to him. He loved Ishizu as the woman, not as his sister. He could feel his heart race when he finally felt her lips move against him, as if wondering if it was real...he confirmed it by deepening the kiss.
When they finally parted, Ishizu was still crying, but there was a smile on her face. Rishid found himself matching her smile. He liked these new tears she was shedding. She then started to hug him back, resting her head into the crevice of his neck. He would allow her to rest again him, content. He would make sure he would never let Ishizu think that she would fall from grace in his eyes.
