#xc practice

Okay, so a lot of my friends who are guys play football, and when they complain about their workouts I usually tell them to join cross country because it's harder. Well, they don't like that. (Now I really don't think it's harder, but it's just as hard as football is). 

Well, us girls xc being the little sneaky sneaks we are went and talked the football coach into letting his guys run a little workout with us. 

We ended up doing 1/2 mile warm-up. 

Stretches and strides.

A 2 1/2 mile jog in the woods.

1/2 mile cool-down. 

The guys started sprinting the warm up and they were all like, "oh this is easy!" and I was like, "You sprinted the warm-up. So impressive." *apply sarcasm thick*

The stretches were pretty funny because most of the guys were super tired by then even though we let them get a drink. 

Then, of course, they started too fast in the woods and the hills killed them. We were only going to make them do one lap (1.25 miles) but they wanted to do another and we made them take the hard way. 

By the time we were jogging a cool-down the boys weren't even trying to pretend that they weren't tired. They told us they were dying. 

And so, afterwards we had to do workouts with the football team. That was interesting. But tons of fun! Great workout that I wasn't doing on a treadmill by myself, and it's keeping my conditioned.
