"Y-Yeah," Sora replied, sounding a little caught off-guard and looking it, too. 

  She was one of the people Yen Sid had said he needed to save and help, and here she was, standing right in front of him! And asking him about Christmas. 

This is so weird, Sora thought, but a slight smile appeared on his lips despite himself. Aqua was here, after all. Which meant she was safe, okay. And if that wasn’t reason enough to smile, Sora wasn’t sure what was.

Sora turned around, a smile playing on his lips already at the greeting. The voice sounded vaguely familiar, for some reason. And of course it did! They knew his name -- it must have been one of his friends!

 But his smile slipped away, turning into undisguised surprise when he saw a woman in blue standing in front of him, strong and powerful as the sea itself.

  The woman on the beach. The one he'd seen during his Mark of Mastery exam.

—Casually trots over to the Gummi-Ship port window, pressing the mechanism that opens it up.

“—Hmm?”

A curious din slipped past pallid borders, glance shot towards the comrade who bore oceanic-crown. —Immediately, the man recognizes what apprehension plagued her, hounding the very movements that led her to where he was. Damn nerves—always a troublesome thing, especially when one carried pride alongside it. Never the less, the wielder turned frame to the other, delicate nod given in affirmation to her request.

…Until a faint ‘Hiss' breaks through the silence, sourcing from where his shoes were placed. And due to the lack of coherent reasoning, the knight sprung up from his sleep and shot a purely instinctive ember towards his foot-wear.

Resulting in the objects, along with the serpent, to perish in flames.
