Back at it again with the Random Character Generator Challenge! Done with the usual suspects @tiefworks, @riverbirchscribbles and @rosa-sprout, inspired by these specific videos by Drawfee!
This is Xanthium, a member of an archfae council! Out of the other members of the council, Xanth (as known by close friends) is the hardest to read, almost to an off-putting degree to other fairies, much like their bug patron the wasp. That doesn't deter Juni's parents, however, who most likely have conducted their own nature after what they see of xem. However, xe are known to take a shine to someone that piques their interest!
Check out Hendrick and Mairi, my other two characters I made for this particular challenge!

Know your poisonous plants! That's Xanthium strumarium. Read more below. See more on my herbalism course at bit.ly/votanotherapeia ...discover my bodywork books at bit.ly/elefteria ...and read more about that. While small quantities of parts of the mature plants may be consumed (this has been used medicinally), the seeds and seedlings should not be eaten in large quantities because they contain significant concentrations of the extremely toxic chemical carboxyatractyloside. The mature plant also contains at least four other toxins. Animals have also been known to die after eating the plants. Zuni people have used this plant medicinally, in external applications. In Greece, it is known as agriomelitzana. The species is monoecious, with the flowers borne in separate unisexual heads: staminate (male) heads situated above the pistillate (female) heads in the inflorescence. The pistillate heads consist of two pistillate flowers surrounded by a spiny involucre. Upon fruiting, these two flowers ripen into two brown to black achenes and they are completely enveloped by the involucre, which becomes a bur. The bur, being buoyant, easily disperses in the water for plants growing along waterways. However, the bur, with its hooked projections, is obviously adapted to dispersal via mammals by becoming entangled in their hair. Once dispersed and deposited on the ground, typically one of the seeds germinates and the plants grows out of the bur. Photo taken by me, all rights reserved. Xanthium strumarium, the Rough Cocklebur, is a widespread member of the sunflower family. It is commonly found in wetlands where the burs are buoyant and can flow with the water. The hooks on the bur allow it to readily snag on mammal fur, or even lightly hook into skin which likewise aids in distribution. Most parts of the plant are at least somewhat toxic although the seeds have been eaten in small quantities without harm. After eating large amounts of the plant, both animals and humans have been known to become sick or die but despite that, the Carolina parakeet (Conuropsis carolinensis) feasted readily on on the seeds without harm to themselves. Animals that ate them (such as feral domestic cats) were noted to be poisoned and indicates just one facet of human intervention which led to their extinction as early as 1918 when the last known individual died in a cage. The extinction of this species was manifest through many human-driven factors including deforestation, hunting, and the pet trade. With this species extinct and one other of the original three native parrots eliminated in this range, only one still exists within the United States.
