I learned in high school that there is a girl that exists in every clique that is quite used to winning boys' hearts and is assured in herself that she knows the patterns of their affections. When she finds the boy that proves her wrong on this, whether it is the boy for her or not, it will turn her bitter. In fact, if she had no actual, romantic interest in the boy at all, she will be changed all the more at his platonic friendship. In reference to another girl, even though he has ignorantly saved himself, sadder is the existence of the boy who, for no reason he can come up with, turned down the girl that was perfect for him in every conceivably, rational way.
