*In the depths of the void, a small vessel awakens. It turns its face to light visible above and reaches for it. A symbol made of void appears by it, showing a simplified rendition of the white lady, and a question mark. slowly, it climbs out of the darkness. It stumbles across the broken mask of another vessel. Its empty, broken gaze is met by the living vessel's curious one. Nearby a geo sparkles on the ground, and the small vessel picks it up, then goes on.
A few weeks later, the same small vessel appears in a merchant tent city. It is unclothed but heads straight to a clothes merchant. The merchant is confused, but when the vessel offers it nearly 200 geo, he gladly complies. Soon, the small creature is clothed and cozy, and its eyes turn up as though smiling, before it makes its way to other shops. First it buys a holder for a needle it's carrying, then it buys an ornament of gold and ribbon that catches its eye. The trinket merchant is curious and asks, "Well, that is a nice thing you've picked out, there. What is your name?"
The vessel thinks for a moment, then spells out, W-Y-S-P.
The merchant smiles. "Nice to meet you Wysp. Enjoy your purchase!"
With that, the little vessel turns, short needle strapped to her back, and wanders away.
