“Huh?!” she shouted, tugging on the handcuff and staring at the chain. Slowly trailing the chain with her optics until she saw who the other one was now chained. “I have work to do! I can’t have him tugged along!”

Sitting down in the lobby of the hotel she was staying at for a mission, she stared at the text messages and even listened to the voicemail. Pouting a bit, she mumbled, “He does know he’s supposed to protect the machine, not the programs.”

“I don’t know,” Ani frowned, looking over the ledge and the traffic below. “But this has to work. If not, then we’ll be losing more of our people.”
