The rosette really cleaned up. In it's age it has dried out and the strange filler material it's been made from were beginning to come loose

Sometimes it's not easy to give the owner back their guitar. A fantastic sound too, percussive but rounded sound. I love the patina (or damage) on the lacquer all over it

The 90 year old guitar now has a brand new bridge, saddle and new rosewood pins. More imporatntly it's in the right place so plays in tune and also plays very nicely!

I'm very happy with how the guitar's turned out. The lacquer rejuvenation has really made the soundboard look healthy and nicer!

The new rosewood bridge is now slotted and ready to accept a modern style bone saddle which can be adjusted (not like the original..)

The old bridge is all kinds of wrong, it was shattered but also the brass saddle top was located in the wrong place. This meant that the guitar would always play out of tune. I'm copying the style of it mind you 'cos it had bags of that!

1930s Albert Voigt Parlour Guitar restoration complete - good for the next 90 years!

The guitar also had a handmade strap for it. I had to make a new attachment buckle for it from a coat hanger welded together!
