         By the sudden pain you feel in your hand, you’re sure you’ve broken at least two fingers. Look, you don’t work too good under pressure and you’re not the best at creating flawless plans on the spot. But, your Dad seems to have your back. Or, your leg. Times like these make you glad that construction drones are only built to be disposable. They’re only programed with basic blueprints and basic self defense. Other than that, they’re just a giant loudspeaker that can lift two hundred pounds at most while flying. Three hundred while stationary.

         You can always count on your Dad to do great things, sometimes in painful ways on accident.. You’re cutting him some serious slack for being blind and you’re grateful nonetheless, but you’re pretty sure he’s also cutting you some slack. Directly into your thigh and deeper than he expected or thought he would actually manage. It’s okay! You’re only bleeding somewhat. He must have no thought too hard about the sharpness of his big, meaty claws. It’s fine!!

         Upon your scream of pain, however, he lets go for a second, allowing the drone to get at least a foot higher into the air before he grabs you again, this time on your ankle. You’re pretty sure there was something important there, like a tendon you needed to move your foot, but whatever, clearly you don’t need it!

         You have never been more fucking scared in your life. You can’t believe this was a death wish all along. You packed all your favorite things too. Strawberries, yoghurt, ramune, and a peanut butter sandwich. That was your last meal before you died and frankly you’re upset because you would rather be eating lobster for your final meal.

         You remember the last people you spoke to. Felide will be worried sick. Lil will be upset and he may never kiss you again. 2ol will also be upset, who’s going to tell him about Earth politics now? You’ll never get to date Windy, damn it. Hell, the last thing you told Xanthe was that you didn’t need his help during your conversation about packing necessities. You never got to show Nyx your new snake either, and-
