Not my usual content but i just want to express this since this opinion always eats me alive.
I'm probably gonna sound like a horrible person for this but I genuinely hate videos about Gaza and ICE that start with guilt tripping and aggressiveness.
It's genuinely upsetting when they start off their videos by calling you a bad/horrible person for not watching their videos or just purely say bad things will happen if you don't watch till the end or interact with them.
I know it's for interaction and people in those situations are tired and it's annoying that people don't notice them, but it feels so horrible for people who are easily guilted or folded by aggressiveness. I end up watching them but just end up uncomfortable throughout the entire video.
I feel for those people suffering and I've watched videos that explain what they go through, people with names and everything but I watch them because they ask nicely. Those stories stick to my mind which continues to make me hate their respective aggressors.
I just wish they'd just spread the awareness without being overly aggressive about it. I always end up feeling horrible for not doing something after watching them.
I do hope the people of Gaza and Palestine are freed and children don't continue to be killed. I also hope for those who are afraid, targeted and captured by ICE to live normally again. And not just these situations, people who are not living comfortably, those in the LGBTQIA+ community, women, children, and victims in general.
I wanna know more, I wanna listen, and I want to continue to stay aware of these situations but I really hate the aggressive and guilt tripping ones.
