So today I stumbled upon this recording of a WUOG radio broadcast from 1988 with Mike Mills and Peter Buck on Soundcloud. It was new to me despite being uploaded years ago.
It’s hilarious, but Peter is so obnoxious in it. (”SHUT UP!” “ME! ME!” “*screaming*” “*ridiculous fake coughing fit*”) The music is nice though (Athens bands, they’re pretty great!), and Mike is very polite. (Mostly.) As a DJ myself I feel very fortunate that all my guests have been over the phone and very well-behaved. Actually, even the guests I’ve seen in-studio have been very well-behaved, outside of some stories I heard about bands at the annual music festival...
