The picture tells you where the place to be is going to be for the next two nights! TOMORROW night @abevyatwu and @wudefpoets will be collaborating to host open mic in the Edge and we want YOU to come out at step to the mic! The very next night, will be @wudefpoets very own open mic/interest meeting and we want to see as many of you (and those that can't make it tomorrow) in DIGS 222 on Wednesday! Both of these events will be the start to a great year, building both organizations into something great! We want growth as writers, singers, rappers, DJs, and all artists. Be a part of that growth and join us! #itsreal #wu19 #wu18 #wu17 #wu16
It's about that time! Wednesday at 6pm I want to see as many of you out to open mic as possible! *Note the location change in comparison to the flyers handed out at convocation- we are now having open mic in DIGS 222* #itsreal #wu19 #wu18 #wu17 #wu16
Okay, I finally decided to start writing my entry for WU18. Of course, I want some of your input, in thanks for being so supportive of not only myself, but each other. So, first, plot and title. I can't write 3 stories in 3 months (I'd like to try, but, no.) so here's where you guys come in! I'll list 3 titles, along with a short (or long, some I' haven't written full plots for yet) summary of their plots.
Give Up the Ghost of You
In a world where there was no sun, and there was only darkness, life was rare. Only very people lived, and the rest were dead or suffering from Morbo Tenebrae, or Illness of Darkness. Some people need light in their life, others need Darkness. Those who needed light are suffering, or have suffered and died. Those who need darkness are alive and dominant. And they now roam the streets of New York City. Nothing has changed. Tiffany’s is still there, the Statue of Liberty has been standing tall since 1875. I could name more useless monuments, but aging diamonds and rusty copper couldn’t interest anyone. The government has issued a worldwide search to bring light into the world. Someway, somehow, these people weren’t going to survive. They hired doctors, nurses, and teachers to form a team to find a cure to this curse on the world, and to train the new generation so they could contribute to this research. The story centers around 2 people- Bliss, an obsessive nurse, and Michael, a stubborn schoolteacher, who work together to find a cure to this disease that might cease the existence of humanity forever.
The Tramp and The Falcon/Girl Who Cried Cheater
Undecided plot. Centers around a woman who loves sleeping around with men, for her own entertainment, and is slowly starting to lose the fun out of it. But after one drunken night with a special man, she finds herself starting to get attached to him. He knows the type of girl she is. Desperate to not have his heart broken again, he tends to stray away from her, but then lets her in. Let's see what happens when lonely people come, and decide to be 'lonely' together. But don't jump to conclusions, little one, it's not going to be easy.
Lego House
Undecided Plot. Centers around a guy who's had a terrible relationship history. He's a very caring person, treating his loved ones as if they were made of gold. Every female encounter matters, and is very self conscious about himself. Whenever he gets that 'feeling' that feels like love, he always misses his chance, and she's gone before he knows it. This story is about how the boy comes to meet people, and learning how to make decisions before they slip away.
