Number 5 pls - first sentence of the fifth paragraph of an unpublished WIP
So this one requires some context...@wrongcaitlyn got me OBSESSED with Apollo/Darren (Pollen, MY LOVES <3 <3 <3) and I couldn't NOT write something for this criminally underrated pairing.
So without further ado, the first sentence of the fifth paragraph of an unpublished WIP...except the sentence was short so I'm giving you the full paragraph lol:
“Waiting for someone?” The voice comes from behind him. Darren is forced to crane his neck to see whoever has intruded on his rather unflattering internal monologue. The sky is staring back at him, cradled in the irises of a young man. He’s likely Darren’s age, tall with broad shoulders and one of those smiles that draw people in—breaking dawn and pearly white.
It was only supposed to be a short one-shot, but now it's 12.5K and still counting so it's taken far longer than expected but it's almost done!
