Dandelion Moon
Dandelion Moon - A Rainbow Snowcone Fic Inspired by Aleikats on Tumblr
Several thousand years before the fall of the Pookan Kingdom, the rise of Tsar Lunanoff, and the great Darkening of Kozmotis Pitchiner...
"Hey, Ana?"
"What, Jac?"
Two teens floated side by side in the waters of reverse, the water flowing gently against their backs even as their hair lifted up toward the sky. Yellow dandelion flowers and puffs floated just above the top of the water, echoing the emotions inside them. Gentle, warm, careful, and above all, innocent.
The girl tilted her head slightly to look at him and found he was staring up at the two moons in the sky, one a crescent to her side and the other full, closer to him. "What's wrong? You thinking again?" Her teal to pale lavendar then dark amethyst hair floating out as her earrings swayed with the water. Three little yellow feather earrings that Jac had bought her some time back. She always wore the matching set and he smiled when he looked to her.
"I want to make a wish with you."
She blinked before blushing and smiling. "You gonna ask, when you already know the answer?"
He gave a soft laugh, his messy white hair swirling around his head and yet never hiding his brilliant blue eyes. Where she was all warm tones and blessed by sunkissed skin, he was pale as the snowy down of a newborn chick.
Both of them reached to the same dandelions at the same times, picking them and ensuring their hands gripped them gently. "Forever?" she whispered, and he nodded before relaxing and closing his eyes right as the new moon began to rise into position above him.
"That is my wish. For no matter how many years, no matter the reality, no matter the case or breed or whatever may happen. I wish for us to be together forever, no matter what."
And right as the crescent moon rose above the girl, she closed her eyes and relaxed before both of them blew the puffs out into the rising air, their wish carried off on the wind to wherever wishes go. Little did they know that the innocence of the wish would be heard for years to come, in many ways, in many retellings.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE!" shouted the hunting prince, his bow in his hands as he ran.
The crest-haired woman rushed through the snowspread forest. This was the realm of the great Jokul Frosti, master of elements and mischief. One mistep and she was sure to meet her doom. If only she were not cursed with this form! Her best friend would recognize her and all this would just-!
"STOP!"
She did. Just stumbled to a stop and turned slowly, her purple-pink jeweled eyes wide with fear and anxiousness. Would Jack kill her? Would he rid her of her plume and end her life? But as she stared into his eyes, even with the bow raised, she noticed the recognition in his eyes. "Jack..."
"Ana? Toothiana?"
They were never ones to cry over these things but they launched to each other through the snow and it swirled up and away as if by magic and she whined as she gripped onto the leather backing of his royal riding suit. "JACK!"

"And I am here to kill all pirates, is what you said," Jack reiterated with a grin, tilting his head as he walked between Tooth and Astrid with Hiccup to Astrid's other side.
"Jack, that was two years ago, give it up," Astrid groaned, leaning into her boyfriend's side.
Tooth smiled, tugging at her little braid in front of her pointed and pierced ear. It was kind of nice that Jack remembered how they first met. No matter how mortifying. She had really come to love her life on land and even though she would return to the sea, sometimes with Jack in tow to meet with his grandpa, she loved being here with him more.
Even though it was hard sometimes and she found herself wondering why she was here, her thoughts always went back to Jack, the boy with the white hair and blue eyes.
Her own little pirate captain to her mermaid princess.

"JACK!"
"Whoa!" Jack laughed as he spun, the Tooth Fairy spinning them around in a loop before they landed. Their eyes met and Jack held onto her hips gently before they seemed to realize something and Baby Tooth came up between them, nuzzling at Jack as he backed away from Tooth.
North was coming up with the book and soon Jack was going to be an official Guardian.
Tooth wanted to cry and scream and all at once she found herself grinning ear to ear as she sat down and watched Jack set off one final snowflake of happiness to find its place in the world.
All was right with her.

Darkness.
It had eaten everything and Jayson hated it all. All that is, except his precious Ana. His Toothiana, who sat beside him on his throne of blackened ice and never once complained of the cold. She was as cold as he was, he supposed.
Her single yellow feather sloped down across the right side of her face, the rest of her feathery hair curled in a braid over her right shoulder. From a teal to lavendar to amethyst to black, she was a sight to behold with her sunkissed-but-never-so skin and her brilliantly sharp wings that she kept tipped back behind her and just away from him.
Yes, this was his world. But he loved her light that she didn't even realize she gave off. And the golden earrings of sorts around either ear, three each, stood out in the darkness, glinting with the memory that he had given them to her.

"You know I dream sometimes," Tooth whispered as she sat beside Jack on the rooftop of the observatory. He was laying back, his blue eyes taking in the stars as they began to appear. They had drove out to the desert a week ago just for this reason.
"I do to," Jack answered back but it wasn't in a smart aleck way. "I dream of two moons and dandelions and water that runs but never moves us..."
"And a wish we made, remember?" she whispers and curls up beside him, her brown to teal to lavendar to purple hair curled up in a thin braid down her back. "You had the same dream as me..."
"Hey, it was our wish after all," he whispered and hugged her close. Fireworks lit up the sky even though it was the end of New Year's Day and not New Year's Eve. "And I'll continue to follow it, wherever it may lead us."
"Forever and ever," Tooth whispered and watched the fireworks with the boy she had forever sworn her soul and life to. In memory, death and even beyond time.
