I'll answer for Erica, from Lost Girls. When she is sad, her dog never fails to cheer her up. She is a huge animal lover and would adopt an entire shelter full of dogs if she could, but sadly it isn't possible. Another thing that never fails to cheer Erica up when she is sad is her art kit. Art is her first love, and she's quite talented!

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to answer this. It’s been a long, rough week. I had planned to do a lot of writing this week, but we had a death in the family on Wednesday, so I didn’t really get to do much. BUT, I did some character building for Lost Girls. I created a new character, Sloane Johnson, and I’m enjoying getting to know her. I even came up with a possible spin-off to Lost Girls, called Lost Boys. Basically, I have a lot of ideas brewing up, I just need to get them started.

35: any foreshadowing/symbolism you wrote that you hope readers didn’t miss?
Ahhh, don’t I wish! Since I’m so scattershot in how I write my fics, and since I often don’t quite know how they’ll end, any foreshadowing is usually purest accident, lol! thanks for the ask, and can I turn it around on you? What about in your fics?

(This is not aimed at you but remind me next time I post a meme thing like this to make sure to tell people to repeat the prompt, not just the number so I don’t have to track the post down again. heh)
6: Which OC did you forget about?
I am not sure if this means forgot about as I was writing their story or just in general. But a lot of the side characters from Ideas of Sin. (It’s been at least a decade). If it’s while I’m writing, I thought it would be funny to name Will (Battle)’s familiar Tabitha, because that was the daughter’s name on Bewitched (and he is a witch so haha) and I completely forgot I had named David’s sister that in A Dandelion for Tulip. But I haven’t really forgotten any characters. I just haven’t had the time to write about them. Or it’s not ready yet.
8: Which OC is your favorite?
I don’t have one. But certain ones are easier to write, so those are the ones I tend to do more snippets of. Charlie and Will, ofc, were my first m/m romance book in the traditional sense, and also easy for me to write now, so they would be the closest to favorites I have.
9: Which OC is an absolute pain to write?
Clematis was easy to write as a point of view but excruciating to my emotional equilibrium. Little Wolf was also a struggle to get the words out (which is funny since he uses so many of them). And, while they were not a pain, exactly, Chester and Will (Holly and Oak) and Taji and Trenne (Space Gays) just seem to do whatever they fuck want. They are a goddamn battle, every time.
Hello! Who is your favourite oc and why
That’s a hard question! But a good one. I guess the short answer is I don’t have one? I know that sounds like such a cop out, but I have put so much time and effort into all of my characters, and picking a favorite one just isn’t possible. HOWEVER. The OC that is probably the most special to me is Bex, from Lost Girls. She was the first character I created for Lost Girls, so I have a special attachment to her. I created her during a very rough patch in my life, and I feel like she and I have been through a lot and grown a great deal together. She is absolutely one of my best friends.

Thank you, @gwens-fiction ! My fave fluff dynamic? FOUND FAMILY, ALL DAY EVERY DAY! If I could only write one trope/dynamic for the rest of my life, found family would be it. I love friendship as well, it's always a blast to write. But my heart belongs to found family :)
Answering Writing Qs
The other day, the lovely @abalonetea asked me, “how have your mc’s changed since getting back into writing for them?” which was a really good question. I had to think about it for a while.
Honestly, my character haven’t really changed that much since I started writing for them again. My WIPs are what have changed. I’m thinking about overhauling Paper Hearts again (this is like, the third or fourth time) or just shelving it for an indefinite amount of time. Because I have been working on it for almost 8 years and I just can’t seem to make it work no matter what I do.
I am planning on fleshing out some of my MCs, and getting to know them a little bit better.

I’m so late at answering this, I’m sorry!I’m gonna go with Lost Girls, since I don’t have ships established yet for Lost Boys or Paper Hearts.
The main ship in Lost Girls is Sloane and Erica, however, it is a slow burn and is never the main focus of the story, partly because I don’t like romance-centric stories for the most part, and also because the relationship doesn’t happen until later on in the story. But it’s a ship I enjoy writing, because Sloane is that rough bitch who is soft for one (1) soft girl, and that’s Erica.
In With A Bloody Smile, it’s established that Aeryn the Reaper and Declan the Siren hooked up many, many years ago, but I haven’t quite delved into the nature of it yet. Since it’s a short story, I’m not sure if I’ll go in depth with it. But there is a lot of banter and sexual tension between the two of them.
