It’s pride month, and I’m proud and confident to say that I have never been happier than I am right now. For the past two months and a half, I have been in the happiest and healthiest relationship, and I couldn’t ask for anything better, nor would I. I’m lucky and blessed to call Nickey my girlfriend, and I await the day I finally meet her. She has changed my life, shook it up and swept me off the feet. She mended a broken heart that was in danger of shattering entirely, and I couldn’t be more grateful. My girl is beautiful, sweet, charming, funny, passionate, determined, supportive. At the same time, she’s not afraid to put me in my place and talk me down from a ledge that I push myself towards. She’s not afraid to put her foot down and show me that I’m my own worst enemy. She has pulled me away from the edge so many times, has stood by my side during all my spiraling and showed me why I was thinking wrong. She is my best friend, my soulmate, and the love of my life. I don’t want to put pressure on her by claiming she’s my anchor, but, she is. She keeps me grounded, keeps me from floating away. In return, I will always support her, I will always love her. I stick by her when she has her own moments and I help her through them, I talk to her and help her work things out. I show her I love her at every possible chance I get. I show her I care.  I just... I’m genuinely happy with her, I sometimes look back at myself these past five months (going on six) and see that the moment her and I began dating, I changed. I felt a weight lift from my shoulders because I finally found the right person I was meant to be with. I’m still broken, I still hurt, I still need healing, but I know that I’m not alone with it, I know that I’ll never be truly alone.  I just love her so much, she’s truly the light in my life and I hope her and I last a lifetime.
