I totally donât take it as a criticism. Itâs a legitimate question, as representation matters. With this in mind, I want to give any story like that justice. As a straight cis-female, Iâm not as familiar with telling those stories as others are, and I donât want to do it wrong or use harmful stereotypes. With that said, I do have some storylines planned for certain characters in the future. When that time comes, I plan to consult with others who are a part of the community to ensure I do the story right.

Daphne and Julien have not yet taken that step. Even though they are both pretty sure at this point they will marry one day, they are still 16 and in no rush. Plus they are rarely left alone in a position to be able to do that. There are always servants or royal guards around. One of the rules for allowing Daphne to stay in the Palace was that they couldnât be alone together in either of their bedrooms. Daphneâs father was adamant about thatđ
You mentioned that Clifford is decended from another king. Was that just to say how he became king or will it play out later in the story?

The short answer is both.
It was why the people decided to crown him King, and it will definitely have an impact on the story later. I donât want to say too much about that, but rest assured, I have plans for that.
One thing you should know about me as a writer, I never bring up something for no reason. I love foreshadowing, so I have a tendency to leave hints and breadcrumbs all over the place. Everything mentioned will be paid off at some point.

1. Letâs start easy: Daphneâs favorite color is purple, but blue is starting to grow on her, as she wears it more when attending events with Julien.
2. Daphne has been doing ballet since she was 5 years old. Her mom put her in classes and at first she hated it. She wanted to quit but it made her mom happy so she stuck with it. Now she loves it and is considering going pro after high school.
3. Sheâs afraid of becoming queen and what that will mean for her family and herself. She has not admitted this to anyone.
4. Sheâs a peacemaker and loves to help other people, in any way she can but especially with mending their relationships.
5. She always tries to see the best in others.

I wouldn't say my royal family is based on a real-life one. The closes would be the British Monarchy, as it's the one I'm most familiar with. But mostly, I just take my inspiration from wherever: real life, books, movies, TV shows, and even my favorite Simblrs/Simstagramers. If I see something that I like and it will work for my story, I use it. With that said, I always try not to completely copy someone else's work. I'll rework it so it's more my story and if needed I'll give credit.

Ooo, good question. I'm gonna let Crown Prince Julien take this one:
Julien: I would say that I can be very stubborn. I like things to go the way I think it should go and have a hard time coming around to how others see things. This causes my father and I to clash a lot. We can NEVER agree on anything, especially considering I get my stubbornness from him. Daphne tells me I should work on this, but I feel it will make me a decisive King one day.
