WOWOD – Ярость И Прощение (YAROST’ I PROSHCHENIE)

WOWOD was on my radar for a bit, but not to the point that I was expecting this. Released at the end of January of 2021 by Church Road Records (which, at the time, I didn’t realize is run by the Employed to Serve couple… started sort of as a response to the ugly demise of Holy Roar?) this jumped to the front end of my favorites of the young year list. I’d been eyeing buying this record from bandcamp for a few weeks, but after much hesitation and procrastination, I dropped it in my cart the night before a fee free Friday, which has become a theme I wasn’t really expecting to keep bringing up. Anyway, the next day I woke up and went to purchase this album and it was sold out. Damn Euros and their earlier time zones. Since I didn’t have any vinyls that looked anything like this one, I was saddened a little, but life goes on. A couple days later I started scouring discogs for copies and I actually found one… at a record store in Germany, Green Hell Records . Fuck it. I’m all in on this hobby. Would I have bought it had I known Church Road was going to do a second pressing? Back then, probably. A few months later I think I would have just been happy to pre-order the repress.
