Moonshot: A Series. I’ve been on a lunar kick these past few days what the moon being full and all, but I’ve always been fond of the moon. My dad and I used to go out and look at the moon; he’d say we were moonatics. If you follow my pictures you’d see that my grandparents used to live on Moon Rd. You’ll also notice that I’m immensely fond of atmospheric shots, predominately sunsets. I had stopped my car to get this first pic with the tree as I was leaving my young cousin’s neighborhood and as I was taking it a gentleman from the house I had stopped in front of, who happened to be sitting in his garage, walked out and asked if I was good. After I explained that I was getting a moon picture he remarked that he thought I might be playing Pokémon Go, to which I laughed, said no (although I do), and thanked him for checking. Looking at the moon lately also has me thinking of my grandmother Ivas, who passed not that long ago. Gagong used to sit and talk with me when I would go to see her, and I would always remark to Dad how she twiddled her thumbs. I wish I could tell her about my new job, and I can, but I’d’ve liked to hear her thoughts about it. I’ll miss her but I’m glad she’s with Grandaddy now. I imagine they’re living it up, well as much as angels can live anything up haha. So overall, thank you. Thanks God for giving me my grandparents, paternal and maternal. Thank you HC, Ivas, Bert, and Pat for giving me my parents. Thanks Mom and Dad, for my sake as well as Kade and Luke. Finally, thank you for reading this and hopefully you enjoy my pictures as much as I enjoy taking them, from black, to white, to Gray. #GrayfromGray #wouldntbeaSmithwithouttheirhelp #moonatics #sendmyloveacrosstheheavens https://www.instagram.com/p/CQh-5VRBs51k6415Hw0IHBvxo-dz6B50hkKBrs0/?utm_medium=tumblr
