River had always tried to keep the Doctor in the dark about her life outside. Years of training didn’t get brushed away after just a few says with your parents and a university degree. She still wanted to do better, but recently she had been struggling more. The anger she had managed to control for the last lifetime was gone now. 

“Yeah but  don’t you think it’d be  so hot down there that 150 degrees would feel like -10? What if the sex helps warm them up?” Raleigh asked, cocking a questioning brow in the man’s direction. “And I imagine the sex is wild. Imagine being invited to a hell party?”

      she’s darting through a rather dimly lit tunnel, investigating a distress beacon. all in all, a typical day for the doctor, even if it is eerie and strange and sound echos far too well. even as she reaches the end of the hall to a door and her steps slow, they echo with the noise of an army when it’s just her. the doctor. putting her life in danger for the sake of the universe. 

    holding her sonic in one hand, she opens the door and is immediately met with an angry scottish man that she takes one look at and slams the door back into his face.

       “oh, bugger me.”
