            “dude you look like shit.” nice, john. that’s exactly how you greet a guy when he disappeared an john’s actually been boiling over with concern for the younger man. that definitely makes sense. “i’m gonna grab a six pack and the first aid kit.” 

             dark eyes study him intensely, head tipped a bit to the side with a curious frown. reaching out slowly to poke his shoulder. “somethin’ ‘bout you ain’t real, darlin’. can’t figure out what it is though.” 

               “hey look, it’s the dead boy!” there’s a little bit of glee in her tone, head tipped to watch him. a hand comes up, shoving at his shoulder ( hard, that’s not nice letha ). “ya’ know you’re fire, boy?” literally. the leg of his pants has erupted in flames.

sophia eyes the ceiling, quietly watching, waiting, thinking. a whole lot of thinking. justin doesn’t treat her like a feeble old woman. every time they hang out, she feels cool. it’s a nice change of company. she blinks. high as a kite. boy, if dorothy could see her now.
