On June 20, 1985, the SCORPIONS released “World Wide Live”, a monstrous double live album that showed everyone why they had become one of the biggest bands of the 1980's. The album contained 19 tracks that were recorded over the span of six dates on the “Love At First Sting Tour”, which arguably represented the pinnacle of the band's career. Not surprisingly, the overwhelming success of LAFS helped push “World Wide Live” up to #17 on the Billboard 200, resulting in gold and platinum certifications in less than a year.
