This was one of the most shocking & touching moments when I was in Rwanda. During the 1994 genocide Elijah (right) participated in the killing of 7 of Selestin’s (left) family members. Our team witnessed both men sharing their brutal stories of what happened with a World Vision youth peace club so that the genocide, and all the hate that led up to it, never happens again. They did the hard work of reconciliation to the point that Selestin was even the best man at Elijah’s wedding.
