Summer 2014 Missions Trip to India!
My friend Becky Hoffman and I went to India with two different groups at two different times but left with the same desire to go back! Keep reading to find out how God lead us to India and maybe you will be inspired to join us on our next mission!
In 2006, I went on a great adventure that I was hesitant to go on at first but I left with a changed heart and a desire to go back. This great adventure took me to India where I learned what it really meant to be a follower of Jesus. It had taken me deeper into my faith than I could have ever imagined and left me wanting more.
After going back for the second time, I left with a clear vision of how God wanted me to minister to street vendors specifically and to give back to those that helped me learn and grow to be the who I am today. It all lead to the start of E & co. and the company wouldn’t be where it is today, if Jesus hadn’t lead me to India with Youth with a Mission in 2006. It all started with one step of faith and the rest is history!
I would love for you to join me on another great adventure to see how God has been using E & co. to impact the lives of these women in Chennai as well as the widows and orphans being cared for by the Evangelical Gospel Mission.
After having her heart set on going to Uganda in the summer of 2013, Becky was originally shocked and upset when God changed her plans and called her to go to India. Hot weather, spicy food, and mosquitoes were not on her list of favorite things. However, she could not deny that God was inviting her to see more of His heart, so she obediently packed her bags and headed to Hyderabad. Little did she know that she would fall in love with a city, a country, and the beautiful people that fill them.
Once in India, everywhere Becky went, she was thrilled to see the bright colors of the sarees and the even brighter smiles of the orphans. She was completely amazed that orphans could smile with such joy. After hearing the children share their heartbreaking stories, Becky finally realized why the children were so joyful. It was because they had hope. Though all of them had experienced many tragedies in their young lives, they had also come to know Jesus’ love as shown through the people of Bethel Gospel Church and World Orphans.
Upon coming back to the states, Becky knew that she could not keep silent about the orphans’ stories and about the church’s sacrificial love. That is why she is beyond excited to be inviting you to journey with her to India in the summer of 2014, so that you too can discover God’s heart for orphans and witness the amazing work of faithful Indian believers.
I bet you want to join us now!!!!
