                 while  normally  he  would  object  to  anything  outside  of  a  specified  diet ,  starline  does  briefly  take  pause  at  the  request .  instead  of  outright  denying  it ,  he  thinks  for  a  moment .  oddly  enough ,  surge  and  kitsunami  have  been  on  slightly  better  behavior  than  normal .  he’s  not  sure  what  awakened  this  sudden  change ,  though  it  has  pleased  him  greatly .                  and  he  has  read  up  plenty  on  the  power  of  positive  reinforcement .

Despite a clear crystal liquid in the cup of tea; there is a herbal taste to the drink, and it’s rather relaxing to drink... Although, you can’t help but notice that something seems to be off with the drink...

 「 ☆ 」  For his plans to succeed, ‘reinforcements’ were necessary. Ones he could mould to his liking and who would be ingrained with a bit more sense of loyalty than those he’d been forced to throw away— or, to flee from before he had a chance to dispose of them. But that’s hardly his fault. And even if it was, he’s learning from his mistakes unlike a certain someone. They were too spirited. Too untethered. But these creations?

It’s a step in the right direction. Whether or not they’d prove to be permanently useful is yet to be seen, but for now... Starline is pleased with how things are progressing. Shame that they had to be children though. Quite needy. Interruptive. Always seeking out guidance, much like one would with a mentor— which he supposes isn’t too far off. But he’d never fancied himself much for being in that type of position, impractical as it may be for someone of his talent and intellect. It’s only natural that he pass on knowledge to those lesser than him, lest his work eventually fade into obscurity. Starline simply hadn’t envisioned himself quite in that patch of life yet. 

However, since his attempts at being mentored had gone awry...
