"With time and safety, perhaps we’ll see a different side of [Elain] emerge."
I believe Sarah is exploring intriguing ways to play with time to learn about Prythian's history and other worlds through the eyes of our Seer. I am most intrigued to find out whether this manipulation of time will be for worldwalking and/or viewing the past or future.

I just cannot get over this section of the CHD interview where Sarah was talking about the next book(s). Have I posted about this before? probably:
"...What I was writing felt right. That was the story that needed to be told. So, I decided I wasn't going to approach this project in a traditional format of a book.
but more specifically this:
"And what if this story, what if this book was really fucking long, like, what if it took me more than 1000 pages to tell the story that needed to be told, the arc that I wanted to create from start to finish? What if that took a long time?"
What if this "story" took a long time???? Is the story going to take a long time? Is the story going to span a wide range of time?
-What if this story took a long time ≠? "What if this book were really long?"
-What if Elain's story occurs across time and worlds?
-What if Elriel's love story started long ago, we have to go back in time to see...
-What if Elain and Azriel's fate was decided a long time ago and they were predestined by the gods to revive Dusk.....
okay, okay, I digress... but do you see my point?
We are soooooo getting some time travel, time manipulation, worldwalking plot in this next book(s) and I am so excited.
and don't even get me started on her mentioning "vortex" multiple times in the interview as well.....
