I gave her tonfa. I hope that's okay.

A workout date between Shadow and her parental figure! Maybe they're peacefully working out, and suddenly Shadow changes the music, and the reader is like "this song is shit," and changes the song, but then Shadow also doesn't like the song so instead of working out they just fight over music. And then, after noticing that Shadow was genuinely annoyed by this, the reader sighed and opened her favorite album and helped her with the rest of her routine.
âJust Listen, Okay?â
Summary: Shadow invites you to a workout session at her home, but what starts as a peaceful routine quickly turns into a playful but stubborn fight over music preferences. After multiple song changes and noticing Shadowâs growing frustration, you finally offer a compromise, playing your favorite album. As you continue the workout, the music becomes a bridge for you both to connect and find harmony, softening Shadowâs annoyance and creating a quiet moment of understanding.

It was an unusually calm afternoon at Shadow's home. The scent of freshly baked bread lingered in the air, mixing with the faint earthy smell of the flowers she had placed around the living room. It was her sanctuary, her safe space. The light filtered gently through the windows, casting soft shadows across the floor.
Day 75: Bringing Home the Workout
I'm on spring break for two days, which means I'm missing two of my lunchtime workout dates. These solo dates are so important to me and have been a big part of my EMBODY goals for 2026.
So, being a fitness pro and hosting workouts at my house, I'm still sticking to the routine.
It's a little different - there are heavier weights available at my work gym (anything above 25# is crazy expensive). I think I need to purchase 25# sets and at least a 50# kettlebell, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying using the equipment at the work gym.
I kept to my routine, changing it up slightly, which brings up the question I get asked a lot "When do you know it's time to change up the strength routine?" and this is a great future topic - I can't wait to dive in and share.
For now, I'm enjoying my routine, my workout dates, and reclaiming this piece of myself that is so easy to lose as a fitness professional.
WOD: 3 mile walk/run, strength set (3 rounds, 10 reps each - 40# sumo squats, static lunges, push-ups, 15# bent arm lateral raises, 20# reverse fly)
Stranger
I had an informal date tonight with a guy I met out boating Cinco de Mayo. He's been asking me to do various things over the past few weeks, boating, wine, dinner etc. His pics looked good but I couldn't tell exactly what he looked like but decided to go for a run with him around the lake. He lives in a really nice part of Kirkland and invites me in his car to go to the gas station. I was like hmm sure. His car was a douchy fast orange muscle car with stripes. He is European and has a nice accent but I was not into him. He is definitely well off and kept talking about all of his water toys and I rolled my eyes. We started our run and had very little to talk about. I asked him if he knew a fellow boating friend and he said no. I was confused, didn't he tie up with us on the 5th? No he said he wasn't in town. He added me on Facebook a few days after, and bc he was friends with other boating friends I assumed we had met that day! Didn't I feel like an idiot ugh he just recognized me from last year (apparently). After our 4 mile run he offered for me to come up and I refused saying I was tired and wanted to make dinner. He was upset but I literally had no interest in this dude...Talk about crazy situation!
