Sleepy
Simon is a very sleepy man. He may force himself out of bed at 0400 every single day without fail. But that doesn’t mean he’s any less exhausted when he pries himself out from under the warm sheets.
He may act like he’s perfectly “fine” every day. Acting like this doesn’t bother him at all; the early mornings.
But it does
And Johnny gets the honor of witnessing this first hand.
Once they got together, Simon started staying with Johnny in his room at night. Making up an excuse that it was for Johnny’s benefit and not his own.
After a week of their little routine settling into place, Johnny was beyond aware of how big of a baby Ghost was in the mornings.
Every single day without fail, Ghost would throw his mini fits once their alarm sounded. Curling into Soap’s side more, arms clinging tighter, whining against the man’s chest when Johnny forces him up, mumbling incoherent nonsense trying to plead his case of “five more minutes.”
Before, he was beyond disciplined with his sleep schedule. Now, he would rather lay in Johnny’s arms and sleep the day away if he could.
It made Johnny’s heart melt, seeing the big scary Ghost lie against his chest, yawning and clingy. He hated pulling the man from the warmth of the sheets. He never would, if they were allowed that luxury.
But one thing was certain
Johnny loved his sleepy boy.
