As we ride the waves of change bestowed upon us, we are given the opportunity to learn how to surrender. How to let go of our need to control. This wasn’t my first time losing my job suddenly. So it wasn’t scary for me. But I know it may have been shocking, even traumatic for others. I am here to remind you that you are not alone. There is nothing to fear. Listen to your inner voice and take your time if you need to. Its okay to not be “back to normal” immediately. It’s time we learn to embrace the seasons and cycles of life. There is so much wisdom in nature. Perhaps like flowers we aren’t meant to be in full bloom all the time. How beautiful is it to be able to take the time to turn your attention inwards? To consciously press pause and become aware of our Winter. To allow the space and time to nurture ourselves and our families. Change is the only promised constant in life. Let’s ride the waves instead of swimming against the current. Observe and listen to your inner voice and your body. Be kind to yourself, and to each other.
