Wanted Connections:
-Frenemies: River tries quite hard to get along with everyone, so it would be interesting to see how they’d interact with someone that they couldn’t seem to figure out how to mold their personality to be friends with.
-In a band together, or at least play their instruments together: River plays the alto saxophone, and it would be fun if they actually had a reason to pick it up and practice! It’s one of the few hobbies they’ve kept from back in high school, along with photography, and they really don’t play it as much as they should.
-Photography model: They enjoy taking pictures of people, and even though they’re only an amateur photographer and don’t really get paid for it, they’d probably like it if they had someone to practice taking photos of.
-Former Crush: River used to like them, but has since moved on. Sometimes, though, they still think about them and wonder if things could have played out differently. Once they get a crush, it doesn’t completely go away, ever, so they’d probably be more nervous than usual around them, but would try to cope with it and act normal.
-Someone to get into different interests with: There are a lot of things that River wants to start doing, and they don’t really have the opportunity to do them. Things like watching anime, playing video games, bicycling, anything random like that. If they could find someone that they could drag down with them, they’d be a lot more willing to do new things. A lot of their old interests are kind of juvenile since they’re from back when they were in high school, so it would also be interesting to explore them doing those types of things as a more mature person.

being a part of an immigrant family led dorothy to be very passionate about social justice & immigration in particular
dorothy kind of serves as a contrast to everything that woosh is : she’s not concerned with trends or feel good videos, she’s bold, passionate & edgy. she cares more about informing / educating people rather than what gets clicks
she’s kind of an insurgent at woosh as she wants to try to change the platform from being mere feel good content to stuff that’s more aimed towards social justice
she really only took this internship because it was the only one that accepted her since she applied for a bunch of journalism internships but didn’t get them
super studious & kind of a know it all so people expect her to play by the rules but she’s willing to break them to do the right thing
she has a pretty unique style – dressing in black a lot, always having political pins on her jacket, often wearing mary jane heels or doc martens
kind of the black sheep at woosh since the platform is so known for its trendy content & not for what she’s interested in making
