yes!!! it’s just so rude?? like playing with people’s feelings and LIVES is just wrong. but for the other things, it’s so understandable. the internet can be a great place, but it can also be full of mean people who have nothing better to do with their lives but mess with others (tumblr is a great example of that, tbh) and it’s way easier to change an alias than your actual name, since people can look you up and stuff. i’m rambling again?? lmao i just !! catfishing should not be a thing!! some people need to be more aware, and others need to just be realllllll

i 1000000% understand peeps wanting to keep their identity private on the internet! rp itself is a great example, where some peeps prefer going by an alias rather than their names for their own reasons, and that’s totally okay!! and even when a friendship is developing, i think it’s okay to keep that alias until the person is comfortable enough to share who they are. but for a relationship?? where a person is investing their heart and soul?? idk i don’t think the anonymous thing works in that situation. and then there’s the other person, aka the one CHOOSING to pursue the relationship with the anonymous person and i just?? i will never understand lol ok i kinda rambled a little whoopsss c:
