What is it with the sims community and accusing people of copying others? They’re so quick to jump on it if they think you’ve copied someone, without even knowing wtf they’re talking about. I’ve seen someone lose their spark completely and practically disappear from the internet because a group bullied them out of the community with unfounded accusations.
I’ve been in the position of seeing other people build things that were extremely similar to my builds. I’ve seen people grow their followings after they started building builds like mine, or start save files like mine. And yet, I’ve never bullied them or even mentioned anything about it to them or to anyone else. As creatives, we often take inspiration from other peoples creations. We create our own versions of those things that inspired us, and it evolves into other things…and from there it becomes something new that inspires someone else and so on.
There’s nothing wrong with getting inspired by someone and building your own style from that.
And when it comes specifically to sims builds, or any sims creations, most creators are making replicas of real life things. Most builders I’ve seen are recreating real life builds in their games using references from Pinterest or Google maps or real estate sites. So a lot of times you’re going to see builders building the same things you n different styles lol
Stop trying to witch hunt about this kinda stuff. It’s not that serious.
