44 & 23 for david and patrick!
#44 - âIs that my shirt?â + #23 - âI immediately regret this decision.â
David closed his eyes, turning slowly and hoping Patrick magically wouldnât be behind him when he opened his eyes. But alas, Patrick was stood in the doorway, leaning against it as he raised an eyebrow.
âIt might be,â David said.
âOh, âmight,ââ Patrick said. âI guess you went shopping specifically for button down shirts that are a size too small and wildly outside of your general aesthetic, then.â Patrick was rightâthe shirt was too small for Davidâbut it had been right there when David got out of bed only moments before, and it smelled like Patrick. So much.
But Patrick was staring at him, and teasing him, which in itself wasnât bad because he knew Patrick never meant it that way, and now he just felt embarrassed.
âYou know what?â David asked, feeling the blush rising in his cheeks. âYouâre right, itâs not really my style. Too blue. I immediately regret this decision.âÂ
He tugged at one of the sleeves to take the shirt off, but Patrick held up a hand. David couldnât help but smirk as Patrickâs eyes flitted across his shoulders. They certainly stood out with how the light blue cotton was clinging to them.
Patrick stepped closer, trailing his fingers up and down Davidâs biceps. He shivered as Patrickâs tongue darted out to lick his lips, and wondered if Patrick was even aware heâd done it. âI donât,â Patrick said softly. âIn fact, I think this is one of the greatest decisions youâve ever made.â
David hummed, slipping his hands on Patrickâs waist. âWhat are some of my other great decisions? In your opinion.â
Patrick grinned. âTaking me on as your business partner. Saying yes to dinner even if you didnât realize it was date. Kissing me in your car. Saying youâll marry me. Just to name a few.â
âThis is up there with all of those?â David asked. âI guess Iâd better keep it on, then.â
âOh,â Patrick said, his voice rough. âI didnât say that.â
