this is all headcanon stuff so be weary ... but i think iswm is darks story. since adwm and ahwm is both stories told by actor. dark created engi as a way to kind of cope with whatever the hell is happening with actor and wilford anymore. the story had such a strong impact it did fragment the multiverse so i def think that the multiverse isn't completely fixed .. theres still holes that need to be fixed.

at some point engi becomes like .. sentient mid way and completely detaches from dark and shes just like Well. Okay. and watches .. obverses and learns

to me engineer is ouroboros since its a snake devouring its own tail endlessy. the endless amounts of times engineer fixed the machine only to keep hurting people over and over again since theres so many routes that would constantly loop you back and fourth over and over again.

engineer remembers it all. he remembers EVERYTHING in the true ending. all the deaths, the pain, the torture, everything. IT MAKES ME CRAZY BECAUSE ALL HE JUST WANTED TO DO WAS TO SATISFY THE CAPTAIN BUT IT PRACTICALLY BACKFIRED ON HIMSELF like the captain was a religion (/j)

but ever since the warpcore .. he can never remember anything past his own childhood life. maybe that was never written in the pages but he swore he had his own life, a home. all he can remember is the ship and the colony itself. he also kind of suffers from memory loss but it comes back to him like a boomerang sometimes!

Hes very much angel turned into a demonic entity but still showing innocence (hence the wings) and i hc the twins to be very much angels. Like celine is an angel while damiens the fallen one for having connections to actor. Dark is the manifestation of hatred and rage in my brain and she very much means no harm and isnt fond of harm but is a ruthless entity. Dark is portrayed as an angel in my eyes to fit the angel trope with him and actor .. But the blame is shifted and dark is seen as this false angel while actor is the true false. Pushing all of the sins onto dark, pushed around like a wounded dog.

The body they both inhabit is severly broken so their insides are tangled with wiring n cybernetics (motioning over to the glitching aspect) the body is very much not taken care of so the body is constantly under a lot of stress and pain which i think explains the cuts of screaming in agony when we see it on screen! It refuses ANY help .. It needs a cane so bad but it refuses it (i think when damiens in the front theres a cane used, but when its both merged/or just celine there isnt a cane used.) Makes me a little crazy TEEEHEE ..

The glitching/hue shifting is very much based on its emotions and thoughts and can get very very unstable which can lead to body horror aspects like the body cracking and morphing or ink bleeding from the face. Whoevers taking over the body their color will mostly be shown say celine red is more prominent than blue. Damiens in the wheel and blues more prominent. But if its both then itll be both clashing with eachother, i do think when they both take the wheel they practically merge to properly form darkiplier since i think whoever takes the front the body morphes to FIT whoever is it.

I think damien and celine can wander the void .. They can split off from the body and just exist in the void but unfortunately still cursed with the monochromatic hues still riddled with red and blue..Celine is more anger filled that theyre like this and Damien is more guilt ridden, dealing with identity issues almost constantly due to this.

I do think dark is not fond of love but is definitely soulbounded with wilford. He isnt into the whole romance scene but believes in souls can meet anywhere anytime, flames intertwined with one another, the string tied to eachother. Dark is very big into platonic stuff if anything looks to the sunset
