Okay so funny story...
I was working on a angst-ish Laurence/Krauser piece. This one specifically
And originally this woman in the painting was covered by the curtain. But then I was like "I should design Krauser's wife just for fun." But the more I drew, the more I got attached and started developing her personality and relationship with Krauser.
So without further ado! Countess Viola Velren!
Viola I consider to be that refined evil genius type. It's also unknown if she married Krauser for love or for his criminal empire. Maybe it's both who knows? And yes, she does know that this marriage is transactional on her husband's part (because he's still in love with Laurence, but the Stroheim bloodline won't continue itself.) Her feelings on that are complicated. But then again, maybe a part of him has come to love her too. Again who knows?
