there is the double geo buff and thrilling tales buff from barbara during the battle

the wolflord tends to move around a lot in the first half, so it can be annoying if you’re using a melee character. that’s why i recommend using a ranged character for the whole fight. however, the downside to using a ranged character is that the hitbox for the wolflord is really weird when it’s moving, so even if you’re right next to it, sometimes your character doesn’t aim for the wolflord, which can be very annoying.

also, be careful with albedo’s flower as bc of the weird hitbox for the wolflord, his flower can break upon placement.

when the wolflord shields itself and summons three dark heads, run to the edges of the area. the heads will always go to the same places, so after a few battles you can anticipate where they will go (as you can see in the video, i was a little too on the mark and got hit as a result). you’ll want to stay at the edges of the arena as the wolflord will do aoe attacks that take up the entirety of the arena.

i recommend bringing ningguang even if she isn’t built bc she can break the heads the fastest out of all geo characters without needing to use her burst. another character i recommend bringing is zhongli. not only is his shield op, but you can just leave his pillar by a head and move on to another head (as shown in the video above). this is especially useful if you have c1+ zhongli since you can place 2 pillars. be aware though that the wolflord may break the pillars too early when it slams into the ground and cause the heads to not be broken.

also, you cannot use albedo’s transient blossoms to break the heads, as transient blossoms, like raiden’s elemental skill, only activate when dmg is dealt to an opponent. you don’t actually deal dmg to the head or the wolflord when attacking the heads, so transient blossoms don’t appear. however, placing albedo’s skill can weaken the heads.

you can also use geo traveler’s normal combo to break the heads, as the last hit in his combo is a geo atk.

i don’t recommend bringing noelle and itto as your only geo characters as their skill cooldown times are long and you’d have to use their burst to break the heads quickly. this is bad as their burst is where a majority of their dmg comes from; you’ll be losing out on dmg you could deal to the wolflord when it’s stunned.

another tip i have is to move around often, eat stamina food if you need to. you want to avoid getting hit as much as possible as corrosion stacks can build up quickly and bring your characters into the red very fast.

bring a healer; a healer can be very helpful, i recommend barbara or qiqi. the nre can be useful too.

also learn the wolflord’s atk patterns, esp pay attention to when it’s about to do its hyperbeam atk or its tornado atk (the tornado atk is esp annoying, it lasts so long and for no reason). you’ll want to be ready to run during those as getting hit by them/stuck in them stacks corrosion like crazy.
