This deserves a post. Atty. Antonio Santos ✝, former director of the National Library of the #Philippines, was posthumously awarded the IFLA Medal "for his distinguished service to international librarianship and contribution to leadership in Asia region," on 18 Aug 2016 during the Closing Ceremonies of the 82nd #wlic2016 in Columbus, OH. Receiving the award is Ms. Elvira Lapuz, PLAI President & Deputy Univ. Librarian of UP Diliman. When I first saw the call for nominations for this year's IFLA honours and awards, I have really thought of Atty. Santos. He really deserved to be given an IFLA award. Congratulations Sir Tony!
