What really broke me while watching when Life gives you Tangerines, was how just after three days of Dong-Myeongβs death, the sea turned so quiet and gentle, as if it just forgot what cruelty it had mustered a blink ago. It gave a lifetime of grief to a family and just moved on from it, as if nothing had happened.
Yet it was the sea or nature only who remembered her mother and son after all those years, while everybody else moved on. The contrast kills me to think that nature at one moment can be so uncaring, while in the long run cares enough to store our pain for us so that we can carry on with our life
When life gives you tangerines absolutely destroyed me. Honestly the only time a piece of media had tears running down my cheek multiple times.

Superb yung writer nito. Ang ganda ng story line.
And a big shout out sa young Gwan-sik for his amazing acting skills and the older Gwan-sik wow thats another level! eyes pa lang niya madadala ka na bagay na bagay sa kanya yung tatay role. I suddenly miss my Tatay, the father who's willing to sacrifice for the family.

A lot of scenes that will make you cry a river
This drama taught us that you dont need a rich partner in life to be happy. All you need is partner who will love you like Gwan-sik. God's grace I felt this kind of love from my father and now to my husband.
Like what the quotes says, "you can choose your husband but your children cant choose their father. Your child deserves a good father. Choose your partner wisely."
