There's literally no way that I went this long. The Great Mother is Wizeman's counterpart. How did I go this long and not put two and two together?
Been staring at Wizeman for a while, here be some of my current headcanons, some of which I adopted from some other folks
Though he wishes people to see the darkness and the beauty within it, he has trouble getting this to happen.
Perpetually intimidating. Capable of spooking someone just by telling them to eat their veggies.
Difficult to communicate with him if you don't already know how he communicates.
If you somehow (EMPHASIS ON SOMEHOW) get him to give you advice, it will be a bitter pill to swallow, and he's not going to dampen that effect. But you will benifit from said advice.
Can grant wishes. Utilizes Monkey's Paw rules unless an idiya is surrendered.
Has survived terrible chaos in his early years of existence, which led to him creating Nightmare. Definitely a utopia compared to what was before.

suffering while trying to make the wizeman playlist. just pure agony. he ain't a popular character if we're being honest, n that's a part of the challenge.
closest i could get to his themes was anemoia by oliver buckland. another challenge, and it's a struggle seeking out similar stuff.

lightly dipping my toes back in the NiGHTS fandom every now and then. One of those hyperfixations that I always have once a month but I stay quiet abt it online. Anyways. I gave Cobalt a redesign, both in appearance and story. I had wanted to do Paradox, but Cobalt is what flowed out of my hands as I tried to relax drawing. Now Cobalt is a creation made BY Jackle rather than Jackle just having the responsibility of to ensure it turns out 'right' unlike himself. Jackle made Cobalt because he misses Selph. No idea how he gained the energy to do that, bro's grief was strong one day I guess. Wizeman is furious at first, bc Jackle did it without permission, but then decides he can keep Cobalt if he uses it to replace NiGHTS. Cobalt also now goes by it/its because that's what Wizeman requires it be called until it earns its place as a replacement for NiGHTS. If it manages that, then it may call itself whatever it pleases.
