Improper handling of Wands is the leading cause of accidental injuries in Modern Britain.

Tips to avoid problems:

Never put your wand in a pants pocket! Always pocket a wand in a wand hostler. A magically line pocket in a robe is preferred! One with an anti fire back seal charm. Always make sure the magic end is pointing down your leg and never up back at your head.

Handle is for holding! Never take a wand by any other way then its handle.

Polish from handle to tip. Stroke away from you and never roughly.

Never put a wand tip in any bodily orifices! No gag jokes, don’t clean your ears with it, don’t twirl your hair with it. Don’t scratch with it. It WON’T help with constipation! 

A dirty wand is a hazard! It is unsightly, as well as cares magical bits that can infect other spells. You wouldn’t leave the bathroom with out washing your hands? Now would you?

Do not use your wand on the loo.

Do not verbally abuse your wand. They remember, they hold grudges, they bid their time.
