Kingdoms from across the World sunk seas of gold, men and cavalry to try and hunt him down, but it was only when he began to grow sloppy that he was caught. For his abominable list of crimes, he was sentenced to physical torpor and spiritual imprisonment, his body thrown into a comatose-like state and his soul astrally projected into the nightmarish world of Saturn - a gaseous prison for disturbing and violent spirits, and the very realm Merlice drew his powers from in the first place. However, after twenty years of torment, he began to wake up, and seek a new vessel for his perverted soul.
