10 - How many tattoos/piercings do I have? No tattoos as of yet. I have my ears pierced and the top of my left ear was pieced but it got infected in May 2008 and I swore off piercings forever.

12 - How I feel right now? Besides the ache in my heart, and nausea and headache from last night - I think I am doing okay.

1. Are you close with your parents?

It’s always been a huge struggle of mine growing up to get along with my parents. My mom is an alcoholic, my dad was an enabler... my dad never realized my brother who died raped me/molested me and he didn’t really believe it until he was in home hospice three years ago. I always felt like my mom didn’t love me the way I need to be loved. There were no girls trips, no secrets, it was more of a, “My mom is kind of like my embarrasing drunk older sister.” My dad was too busy babysitting her to really parent me the way he parented my three older brothers. All my life I have been in search of somebody to love me the way I deserved to be loved despite all my flaws, and so far nothing has ever come close.

2. Favorite time of day?

I enjoy the night because it is so quiet that I have all night to myself to think and to enjoy the stillness of the night.

3. If you could fight one person, who would it be?

I have to agree with Lisa. The thought of it is exhausting and I don’t like confrontation, but if I had to and I had to I’d confront my dad on why he didn’t have my back when mom told him my brother raped/molested me.

4. Worst experience ever?

When I was 10. I don’t want to talk about it.

5. Favorite article of clothing?

my grey tank and black shorts and black running shoes.

6. A perfect evening?

Star gazing at Mt. Charleston with my husband. We’ve done it once, and it was perfect. 

7.  If you could go anywhere in the world, somewhere you’ve never been, where would it be?

I’d love to go to Ireland and search my roots.  If that was a no go, I’d love to go to New York and learn about my husbands family. Especially in the fall.

8. Celebrity crush?

Patrick Dempsey... McDreamy.

9. Fiction or nonfiction?

I agree with Lisa, I like to lose myself in another world.  another world.

10. Beverage of choice?

A nice cup of earl grey.

11. You can change one thing, it will make a difference. What would it be?

How I react to things, and to be a LOT less angry at the world.
