“So, how’s this work, then?” she asks, fiddling with one of the levers– “Just... push it while holdin’ down this button?”

“Yup!” he exclaims.  “And I’ll just enter the coordinates here–” He rams a few buttons and one of the screens lights up– “There!” He nods at her, signaling that she should make her move.

She fiddles with the mechanisms on the console– and the Time Rotor lights up, the TARDIS makes her grating noise.

“We did it!” Rose squeals, grinning broadly. “We’re flying her!”

She flings her arms around his neck and he lifts her off her feet, squeezing her tightly.

“First class pilots, we are,” he murmurs into her hair, smiling.
