With the comforting sound of flowing water and the refreshing sensation of said water lapping at the bare skin of her feet, Ilia took another step forward, content sigh passing her lips as she did so. The sweet aroma of nearby flowers wafted up her nostrils as she inhaled, wide smile plastered on her face as her emerald eyes fluttered to a close. How long had it been, since she had last visited the spring? Too many weeks had been wasted with laborious work and chores, and although she didn’t mind working for hours on ends, that didn’t exactly mean she didn’t mind working for days on ends.
Another sigh, one of relief, left her mouth as she raised her head, neck arching back and eyes remaining shut. To others, it may have seemed like she was enjoying nothing in particular; after all, she was simply standing in the middle of the spring, head lifted and eyes closed. But to those who truly knew her, such a pleased expression was understandable.
It was then that she heard the slight shifting of dirt; footsteps, to be exact. Eyes snapping open, she immediately lowered her head, twisting it to the side to shoot the approaching being a wary glance.
"Hello?"
