Jonah Grimes

Height: 5’9; Weight: 166; 17 years old, recently finished his Junior year of high school; Some European ethnicity; Is fairly fairly even toned, not too tan or too pale, doesn’t go outside much to really affect his natural color; dark eyes; shaggy brown hair that hangs in his face, in need of a haircut; kind of lanky, no muscle.

Jonah is a very solemn character compared to my other three. He prefers to be alone, with his books than “hanging out” with other people. He really doesn’t even know how to be around other people. This comes with a few exceptions, like his best friend Aaron for example, or the beautiful Arienette whom he has been in love with since freshman year. He doesn’t like conflict, but really doesn’t do anything to avoid it. Avoiding it would be effort, which is something else that Jonah doesn’t like. He’d be just as happy sitting at home and staring at a wall. Jonah suffers from Clinical depression and Bipolar disorder, but has medicine to control it. It’s hardly a problem for him anymore. Just sometimes….

This is his first year at Camp Band-aid. He hates the outdoors, but he loves his bestfriend. And when his best friend begged him to come, how could he say no?

Jonah brought very little with him on the trip. Just a pillow and a bag of clothes also containing:

Shampoo, conditioner, and various other toiletries

Something to read (The Book Thief, The Hobbit, Angela’s Ashes)

Bugspray

SPF 50

Medication

Lag (Garret Athill)

Height: 6’2; Weight: 146; 18 years old and just out of High school; 100% Human and 100% Korean; Has the average skin tone of most Asians and Dark, dark Hair and eyes; He has really short nails that have been bitten down in times of deep thought; a skinny body type, rather bony and underweight (Seeing as he eats like nothing.); Has his ears pierced and a tattoo on his right arm. (That matches the one on BD’s back)

His real name is Garret Athill, a name given to him when he entered The States By his adopted moms. He rejects this name completely, choosing to go by a nickname given to him by his best friends: BD and Atlas. He believes that “Garret” represents a part of him that was lost a long time ago, a part of himself that he hates. He’s been going by “Lag” for the past 2 years. He’s  a nature Guru through and through. Simply put, he LOVES the outdoors. He enjoys camping, hiking, bonfires, anything really that involves being out in the fresh air. He is a Vegan and an Animal Rights activist. Lag is also lives his life as a pacifist, which seems strange considering his constantly flaring temper which has been happening more and more frequently since puberty. Lag is generally an Extrovert, preferring to be around people than being alone. He likes to listen to people’s stories, hear what they have to say. He’s a charismatic guy, and easy to talk to. Though his downside is that he has a serious issue with connecting to other people, which causes him to take them for granted, or use them (Usually Women). Because if they get hurt in the process, he isn’t affected either way. Despite what his appearance would suggest, Lag is actually a very intelligent kid. He went through fifteen years of schooling, and was in all honors classes. After the summer, he will be attending Law school.

He has been coming to this camp since he was thirteen, brought there by his best friend (not at the time) Atlas. It’s one for his favorite places and he looks forward to it every year. Unfortunately, this is the last year he can come.

He brought with him a backpack of clothes (and swimming attire), a sleeping bag, and a duffel bag filled with the following:

Sheets and a thin blanket

Toothbrush, tooth paste, two towels, face wash, body wash, etc.

A pair of Mandals

Organic sleeping pills

Vitamin supplements

Smuggled food (peanut butter crackers and the like)

Water bottle

Rain gear

His cell phone (turned off the entire time)

An alarm clock

Various things to decorate his side of the cabin (A dream catcher, a few pictures ripped out of some magazines, a tribal looking figurine of an elephant)

A camera

BD (Deenah Wilder)

Height: 5’5; Weight: 188; 16 years old and just completed her sophomore year of High School; A random mix of European ethnicities; Has a tanned skin tone thanks to being in the sun all summer; medium brown eyes; and crazy, curly, frizzy, long hair that is bleached blonde. (her natural color is dark brown, seen plainly by her roots)  The sides of her head are shaved so that when it’s down it appears normal, but when she puts it in a ponytail, she is bald on the sides; She is short, and overweight, but doesn’t let that stop her from wearing revealing clothes; her belly button, nose, and ears are pierced; there is a tattoo on her lower back that matches the one on Lag’s arm.

BD, who also into the whole nature experience, loves going to camp. It’s one of her favorite things, though she feels weird going without Atlas there. She’s a very loud girl, saying this I mean she’s really loud. She talks loud, laughs loud, snores loud, she’s loud to the point where it is almost intimidating. Which BD doesn’t mind a little intimidation from the others. In her mind, when you fear someone, in a way you respect them. And BD is all about respect. You get what you give. (This applies to everyone but Lag, who she is constantly bossing around) She is an animal lover and stands hard against animal cruelty (she doesn’t love them enough to give up her cheeseburgers though) and abortion. Unable to have children of her own, she doesn’t see why anyone would want to give theirs up? She loves children and wants to have many many many kids when she’s older.

She has been coming to camp since she was thirteen with her best friends Lag and Atlas (who is now her boyfriend)

With her, She brought a Duffel bag of clothes (including sleep clothes, Handkercheifs and headbands to tie her hair back with, swimsuits, and towels) and a messenger bag filled up with:

A brush, toothbrush, scrubby, etc.

A makeup bag (contents being Eyeliner, eyeliner sharpener, mascara, foundation, chapstick, bobby pins, hairties, and tic tacs)

An MP3 Player (and Batteries for it. Full of Artists like Santigold, Kimbra, Funeral Suits and more of that general sound)

Playing cards (Regular and Uno)

Cellphone (Turned on. The ringtone being: Put a Ring on it)

Deep woods bugspray

Water shoes and flip flops

Camera

Chewing gum

Aaron Monroe

Height: 6’o; Weight: 173; 16 years of age and just out of his Sophomore year; unknown brand of Caucasian ethnicity; Has tan skin, darker than his natural shade from being in the sun all summer playing soccer, and freckles EVERYWHERE; Has light brown, caramel colored hair (Natural color medium brown) that is usually styled in an up-do (see picture); Medium brown eyes; He’s a grinner; athletic build.

Aaron is a pretty happy guy,and usually is wearing a huge grin to show it. He’s optimistic and a people person. He loves to talk and talk a lot. However he is easily upset, and will not hesitate to cry. (He probably will a couple of times throughout our story.) He’s got a bad problem with being too judgmental and appearances mean everything to him. He doesn’t feel comfortable unless he is completely presentable, and takes very good care of his body. Aaron really is a sweet heart though. And he makes a really good friend to have, and will put everyone’s needs before his own, even at the expense of his happiness.

This is his first time going to a camp since Boy scouts, which he doesn’t really remember all that much. He signed up this year because He had nothing else to do with his time, seeing as He broke his legs during the beginning of the soccer season and now that it’s healed it’s too late for him to join. His mother suggested he give camp a try and he figured he might as well.

Aaron brought a few bags with him and a foldout chair. Basically:

Clothes, sleep clothes, multiple swim trunks, towels

Sheets, two pillows, and a blanket

A brush, comb, hair gel, smell good, teeth whitening strips, acne medicine, floss, and other basic toiletries

Tennis shoes, mandals, water shoes

Sunscreen (SPF 15) and deep woods bug spray

Breath mints

His cellphone (ringtone: Panic Switch by the Silversun pickups) and the charger

His Ipod and the charger (Containing artists like The Silversun Pickups, Three days grace, Imagine Dragons, The XX, Deftones….)
