A5. I Carry Myself
The candle in my heart, it shines and glows, with the tender feelings you awaken when I think of you, from time to time.
Your life — I have no notion where you live, who you are, beyond the space where we once met.
Yet the candle keeps burning, carrying your light within me, from time to time.
So uh. Sus
urge to write noms is increasing... gdi-

So, this idea has been living rent-free in my head for a while now. It kinda resurfaced when I watched Revtrosity's "Saying a lot of things as Papyrus" video. So just... enjoy.
Red Sus
--------------------------------------------------
Ted was spooked, to say the least.
The Skeld was already being held together with duct tape and bubble gum, and as the engineer on the ship, that was his problem.
What's worse, however, was that there could be an imposter in their midst. They didn't know who they were working for and why, but now Ted had even more crap on his plate.
Huh. Must be another tuesday, then.
--------------------------------------------------
Fiona was stressed.
Ever since she'd gotten that weird alien on her face back on Polus, she'd been having weird cravings. Like, she didn't even like pork, but when ribs were being served in the cafeteria, she just couldn't turn them down.
Even worse, her saliva had started to glow red, and to be honest, she had no idea how she'd hidden it from her colleagues for so long.
And on top of all that, she heard voices in her head to kill her fellow crewmates, and they got worse around Ted, of all people, telling her to eat him.
Although, she'd never eat her childhood friend, right?
...right?
--------------------------------------------------
A month later...
--------------------------------------------------
Oh god, oh FUCK. Ted was royally screwed.
He was being chased down by an imposter, and he didn't even know who it was. He ran to electrical, hoping to fix the lights so he could at least see his killer.
But when he heard the doors open behind him as the lights came back on, he turned around, and...
"Finn?"
--------------------------------------------------
Fiona couldn't take it anymore. She just grabbed a knife, sabotaged the lights and went haywire.
As she left the knife in black's corpse, she saw a flash of blue in the corner of her eye. Fueled by instinct, she ran after the crewmate, the victim, the PREY.
She took off her helmet, and she wrenched open the tungsten doors to get to the last crewmate...
Only to find her childhood friend behind them.
Nonononono. This couldn't be happening. She had made a promise to him, that she'd never let him get hurt on the Skeld. She couldn't hurt him.
"Finn?"
'It's fiiine,' the voice in her head told her cooly.
'You always hated that nickname, and besides, he won't get hurt.'
As much as she hated to admit it, the voice was right. She had some sort of storage pouch on the side of her stomach, and she did hate the nickname "Finn." She'd told him multiple times just to call her Fiona.
And so she picked him up.
--------------------------------------------------
Nonononono, this couldn't be happening.
Why was Fiona so big? Why she picking him up? Why was her saliva re-oh. Well, at least one of his questions had an answer.
He squirmed against her tight grip, trying to get her to put him down.
"Fiona! Don't do this! Let me go!"
He heard a quiet pop as Fiona took off his helmet. She licked his face with her now freakishly long tongue.
"Minty..." Fiona muttered, presumably to herself.
"No! Fiona! Please stop! Think about what you're doing!" Ted yelled, his cries falling on deaf ears.
He was gonna die.
--------------------------------------------------
Fiona put her friend in her mouth, swishing him around with her tongue. He had an odd taste, something like berries and mint.
She switched her throat to lead to her storage pouch. She had no intention of killing her friend. A promise is a promise, after all.
--------------------------------------------------
As he heard Fiona swallow, Ted knew his fate was sealed. He travelled down his friend't throat, squirming the whole way down.
When he fell into her glowing stomach, he beat against the walls, knowing full well it wouldn't do jack shit.
He ended up crying himself to sleep so he wouldn't be awake for what was to come.
--------------------------------------------------
Fiona got up off the floor and walked to navigations, trying not to fall asleep on the way there.
She set a course for Keplar-22C, a hub for all races and species. She heavily doubted anyone would question her.
She finished entering the coordinates abd slumped back into a purring mess, eventually falling asleep at the pilot's seat.
