I'm sorry it's been busier than I thought it would be once I got back from vacation. I will try to come on again and get things replied to, but until then, could I please have a semi-hiatus until the 16th?
Sure thing, love!

Hello, I am on vacation until the 6th. Could I request a semi-hiatus until then?
Of course lovely! Enjoy your vacation and we'll see you soon!
Cassandra
Cassandra: my character warns yours about future events, but your character doesnât listen
Setting:Â An outside table at The Breakfast Club, near the end of the summer
Characters: Sam and Peyton
The day matched Sam's exuberant smile and contrasted sharply with Peyton's warning words. Bright and blue and warm, a swimming-pool kind of day without the oppressive heat that Mystic Falls had taken hold of lately, it certainly felt like a day for good news.Â
Good news wasn't what the younger witch had.Â
"You can do this," she said slowly, sweating like the glass of lemonade that sat on the table between them as nerves got the best of her, "but I don't think it's safe."Â
The raven-haired woman smiled, shaking her head. "It'll be fine, Peyton, but thank you for the concern."Â
"I did some research after you told me about it and..." A heavy sigh escaped her, breath trembling out of her chest. "Most recorded accounts of this ritual end in death. I can help you look for another way. I know the last one was a dud, but--"
"Do you know what it's like to live without your magic?" Sam asked quietly, a sad but determined smile twisted across her features. The bitterness in her voice was shocking from such a normally happy person. "The ache settles somewhere between your lungs and your spine and it just gets heavier. I can't feel anything--the flowers, the trees, even Humphrey... everything's two-dimensional, shades of gray..."Â
Peyton's throat tightened, a knot building low in her chest, just where Sam described. "But it's not worth risking death. I know it seems hopeless, but--"
"It seems like hope was just an illusion to begin with." Sam corrected firmly, and in that moment it was easy to see the toll that losing her magic had taken on her. She'd put up a good fight, tried long and hard to accept it, but there were cracks in the core of who she was. Without her magic, she wasn't even sure she was that person.
The younger witch went silent, dark eyes meeting Sam's mis-matched ones. A kind of understanding passed between the two that neither could explain--the knowledge that the ritual would occur no matter what either of them said, that Sam was willing to risk it all.Â
"Just... please be careful."Â
Hello. Are you still reading palms? [Sam gives a small smile]
Of course, my sweet. Goodness...I sense great sadness in you. Something has been stolen from you, though I see you're trying to get it back. Don't fear, darling, you'll one day regain that which is yours. Ah, I'm afraid I can't tell you how. I ask that you trust in the forces that are at work, and keep in mind that the balance in nature will find a way to repay you. Pray that they come to you sooner rather than later, dear. You may be needed in the chaos to come.Â
Celebrate (celebrate together).
Drabble:Â Our characters celebrate together
Setting:Â Quite a few years in the future, at the Donovan house.
Characters:Â Lucy, Sam and brief mentions of Mark
Clambering up the ladder, Lucy cursed loudly as the streamers she had balanced tumbled down to the ground. She had been preparing for this party for weeks and everything had to go without a glitch, she couldnât let it be anything less than perfect. Muttering under her breath about how streamers were sadistic and utterly pathetic, Lucy grasped onto the large sign in her hands and quickly managed to hang it from one end of the ceiling to the other. She managed to get down from the ladder and put her hands on her hips, smiling as she looked over her handy work. It read âMark and Samâ in beautifully written cursive lettering.
âCan I help?â Sam asked as she walked into the front of the house, noticing the decorations spread across the ground and the food that hadnât yet been spread out. Lucy turned to Sam, crossing her arms and raising her eyebrows purposefully.
âDonât even think about it. Sam, this is your engagement party, you should go relax and eat a cupcake or something,â Lucy said, gesturing to the library, where there was far less chaos. âI can do all of this,â She was true to her word and after some near destruction with the streamers tangling around various household objects, the house was decorated to the best of her ability. White balloons were tied around the house, a screen projecting photos of Sam and Mark together was playing and what seemed like an endless stream of food had been laid out on the table. She quickly set up the music system and sighed deeply as she looked around at the area with contentment.
Lucy turned to Sam as she wandered back into the almost unrecognizable area. The look of joy on the other womanâs face was definitely worth all of the stress in making the party practically perfect. Sam quickly rushed over to Lucy and pulled her in for a hug, wrapping her arms wrapped around her friend. She stepped away, her eyes beginning to water with the start of tears. âOh god, donât cry,â Lucy said, putting a hand on her shoulders with a sympathetic smile. âDonât even think about ruining your makeup on my behalf, letâs have a champagne instead, hmm?â

Busted.
Prompt: Mackenzie finds Sam doing something she shouldn't.Â
Characters: Mackenzie Owens, Sam Williams
Setting: Alley behind Mystic Grille
"Oh my God," Mackenzie said, staring at the sight in front of her. "I am so sorry, I wasn't trying to intrude."
"No, no it's fine," Sam said hurriedly. "It's okay, I'm not-"
"I just... I didn't know you did that anymore. Or at all." Come to think of it, she couldn't remember the last time she'd seen someone in Mystic Falls actually-
"I don't. I never did, it's just stress."
"Right. Of course. I understand."
"But you would never?"
"No! No, that's not me."
"It's not really me either."
Well, shit, Mackenzie thought, backpedaling furiously. "I wasn't trying to say that it is, I'm not being judgmental. You said yourself. It's stress."
"Exactly," Sam said, dropping the cigarette to the ground and crushing it with the heel of her boots. "So we don't speak about it?"
"This never happened."Â
Please put me on hiatus from March 14th to the 23rd for I will be going on Spring Break with some friends and I will not have access to any wifi.
Sure thing, love.
